HE Abdullah Ahmad Al-Zini – QAAF president- chaired the first meeting of the board of directors in the sports season 2010 -2011. The meeting was held at five o'clock on Thursday, 8 July at the headquarters of the QAAF. The following officials attended the meeting: 2 - Mr. / Iesa Abdullah Al-Harami Assistant Secretary 3 - Mr. / Mohamed Ahmed Suleiman, Board Member 4 - Ms. / Mariam Abdallah, Board Member 5 - Mr. / Khalifa Abdul Malik, Executive Manager 6 - Dr. Jabbar Al-Kaabi, QAAF Technical Expert 7 - Mr. / Mohamed Abdel-Razek, Reporter The meeting agenda discussed various topics, which included:
• Separation of the participation of juniors with the men's cross country championships and tournaments for athletics clubs for the upcoming sports season 2010 - 2011 , so that the participation of the groups becomes as follows: Youth + Juniors Men + girls in the same days
The board also discussed the participation in the first session of the GCC Games scheduled to be held in Bahrain in February 2011. It decided to address the Organizing Committee for the athletics events on the proposal to make replacements to avoid overlapping. The QAAF has also decided to participate in the West Asian Championship for athletics for men and women in Syria during the period from 18 to 20 September 2010. The committee has been formed to manage the Olympic Day Festival to be held in October 7th, 2010 under the chairmanship of Mr. Adel Al Baker - Secretary-General and Mr. Yaqoub Yousif Abdalla - Member of the Board of Directors and Mr. Mariam Abdallah - Board Member, and Dr. Jabbar Al-Kaabi - Technical Expert of the QAAF, Rashid Abdul Rahman Ansari, public relations officer of the QAAF.
The QAAF also discussed several topics related to administrative and technical aspects of the federation and taken the appropriate decisions.
