HANOI: 04 July 2010 – Qatar’s  juniors athletics team bagged three gold medals on Friday at the  ongoing 14th Asian Junior Athletics Championship taking place in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Qatar’s athletes, Mohammed Ahmed Al Mane claimed  the gold medal in Decathlon event, after sealing a 7078 points  as his colleague, Mohammed Al Karni clocked 3, 55,94 to win 1500 m event’s gold.

Likewise, Qatar’s high jumper, Mutaz Issa Barsham added a third gold  to the country in Juniors’ High Jump event by clearing  a 2,31 m.

Juniors Athletics had been in two international training camps in Sweden and Portugal recently prior their current participation in Vietnam campaign.

On other hands, juniors athletes are gearing up to take part in the 16th Asian Games -  Guangzhou , November 2010.
