QAAF Technical Committee Holds Its Final Meeting of the Sports Season 2009 – 2010 Print E-mail

The Technical Committee of the QAAF held its third and final meeting for the sports season 2009 – 2010.  The meeting was held in two sessions, on Wednesday, 23 / 6 and the second session was on Saturday, 06.26.2010 at the headquarters of the QAAF  in the presence of ;

The meeting was started by Mr. Adel Al Baker – QAAF  Secretary-General - Chairman of Technical Committee, welcoming the attendees. He thanked them for their efforts during the sports season and wished the next season to be full of achievements and records. The agenda then was discussed with different topics related to technical matters in athletics in Qatar. Among these topics was the discussion of proposals of sports clubs. Some suggestions were made by members of the Technical Committee referring to a list of local championships under the guidance of Qatar Olympic Committee, which indicates that the percentage points of excellence shield are in accordance with the age groups (Hope, mini-cadets, cadets, youth) are in the share of (80%) of the total points, where the shield of excellence in the year for the categories (youth, men) have their share (20%) of the total points. The attendees also discussed proposals for the speed center and the EU plan for the Olympic day in the next year and the schedule of tournaments and local events as well as the annual report of the Technical Committee and the mechanism of recognition of the ceremony of the final annual report and other issues in the agenda. The Technical Committee took a number of recommendations for presentation at the next board meeting to take its appropriate actions. In the end of the meeting, the President of the Technical Committee thanked the members of the Committee for their discussions during the meeting and wished everyone success in their work in the next season.
