QAAF and Aspire Sign Co-operation Agreement Print E-mail

 Al-Zaini: a bright future is waiting for the mother of games, Al-Naema: excellence is the goal of our academy

 The QAAF and the Academy of Sports Excellence - Aspire - yesterday signed

 an agreement for joint cooperation between the two entities based on the goal of securing a bright future for athletics at the level of clubs and national teams. The agreement was signed by Mr. Abdullah Ahmad Zaini, president of QAAF, and Mr. Tariq Abdul Aziz Al-Naema, the acting director general of Aspire, in a press conference.

 

Fruitful Cooperation

QAAF president Mr. Al-Zaini welcomed the agreement and thanked

 

Mr. Tariq for it. Mr. Al- Zaini said that the agreement between them aims to raise the academic performance of athletes technically and academically. He added that before this agreement a fruitful cooperation was carried out in many aspects, so it was necessary to have a performance management agreement and action plan between the two entities in accordance with scientific methods in the development of agreed parties. He pointed out that the QAAF always aims to develop the athletes and their performances through these actions that have been agreed upon and hopefully will raise the achievements and gain further development of athletics.

Excellence Is the Goal 

On his part, Mr. Tariq Al-Naema the acting director general of Aspire welcomed the QAAF officials and said that Aspire was founded to secure excellence in sport and so it was the main objective behind signing this agreement with the QAAF. Our goal is excellence through ambitious programs cooperation with sports federations and this is the first agreement signed with the QAAF for more excellence of sports...Mr. Al-Naema said they hope to be realize in the near future the aspirations of our wise leadership in the development towards more achievements .. He thanked the President of the QAAF and thanked Dr. Donna and her ideas of cooperation which resulted this agreement and wished all the success to the QAAF. Mr. Al-Naema assured that Aspire will help the QAAF to achieve success in the IAAF World Indoor Championship-Doha 2010, wishing further success in the coming big tournaments in Aspire.

 

Exchange of Memorable Shields and Gifts

Following the press conference of signing the agreement, QAAF president Mr. Al-Zaini exchanged with Mr. Tariq Al-Naema  the memorable shields and gifts including a painting symbolizes (challenge) as well as a memorable shield from the QAAF to Aspire.
