As part of its preparations for getting the technical officials ready for the IAAF World Indoor Championship-Doha 2010 to be hosted by Qatar during 12-14 March 2010, the referees committee in the QAAF organized a course for the referees upgrade into NTOs. The refereeing course  will be held during 6-14 February 2010, and aims at upgrading the officials from grade1 into national technical officials. There would be various theoretical and practical lectures during this course related to track and field events as well as the combined events, walk races, cross-country, and road races. The lectures will also tackle the latest amendments in the IAAF rules which were ratified in August 2009 in Berlin. The lecturers of this refereeing course are Mr. Ahmed Al-Tinani (International lecturer with ITO grade, International Technical Official), Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Omari the head of the referees committee in the QAAF (international lecturer with ATO grade, Area Technical Official).
